Root Canal Therapy

Save and repair a damaged or infected tooth

What is Root Canal Therapy?

Root canal therapy is a dental procedure used to treat infection or damage within the pulp of a tooth, which contains nerves and blood vessels. It is typically needed when deep decay, repeated dental procedures, cracks, or trauma cause inflammation or infection in the pulp, leading to severe pain and sensitivity.

During the procedure, the endodontist removes the infected pulp, cleans and disinfects the root canals, and then seals them to prevent further infection. A crown is often placed on the tooth afterward to restore its strength and function.

Root canal therapy is highly effective in saving natural teeth and alleviating pain, allowing patients to maintain their oral health and avoid tooth extraction.
